PHOTOGRAPHY
RACHEL ANDREWS
Rachel is an independent music artist based in Sydney with a pop folk flare that shadows the likes of Taylor Swift and Matt Corby.
With opportunities opening up in the gig and recording space, she was in need of some imagery and head-shots that captured her style and unique personal brand while keeping to her homegrown approach.
She initially briefed me with a mood board of shots she wanted to achieve, which we successfully captured on the day, along with other creative ideas that surfaced while shooting. We wanted to keep colours neutral so that the images could be more evergreen.
The editing and colour grading I kept warm and clean with a bit of grain to enhance her as the main subject while also speaking to the more organic and homegrown look she wanted to achieve.

C3 SYD CONFERENCE
C3 SYD Church hosted their first conference in 2022 and wanted to launch a full brand campaign that captured through imagery, who they are and their values, along with driving people to register and participate in the conference.
It was important to capture the youthful essence the church has, but it was crucial to acknowledge the multi-generational, ethnic and multi-site culture of the church and its people.
I was able to collaborate and help form the concept of the shoot. The 3 main focuses were to incorporate an urban Sydney look, accommodate all ages and to capture diversity, along with keeping the overall umbrella look fun, youthful and colourful.
These images were used on promotional material, online and through print.
PROJECT SCOPE: Involved in shoot concept, briefing talent, photography and direction + editing.

ROOTS, SHOOTS & FRUITS CAMPAIGN
C3 SYD runs monthly campaigns that involve the need for a brand identity, colour palette, font set, imagery concept and specific digital and print outputs.
This campaign required a shoot that captured a whimsical and nostalgic look that paid homage to the beauty and delicate aspects of nature and plants. The main idea was to focus on the environment and flora and less on the model/subject. The use of clear focus shots contrasted with long exposure blur, created a beautiful contrast that we see in nature. This also helped drive the whimsical look.
These images were used on promotional material, digital design and print.
PROJECT SCOPE: Involved in concept brief + lead photographer and editor.
